What: Set amongst the trees, this park has something for kids of all ages: slides, swings, climbing equipment, a large multidirectional swing, a musical station and a flying fox. There’s also the grassy area beyond the playground to explore and plenty of towering shady trees.
Where: 50 Smith Street, Macedon, next to Jubilee Hall.
The best bit: My little people loved the flying fox but the climbing equipment got a good workout too.
Picnic or cafe: The main street of Macedon with cafes is short stroll or car ride away (depending on how energetic your kids are) but there are tables, benches and great grassy spots for a picnic too.
Toilets: The public toilets are a short walk up the hill (125 metres away), opposite the Macedon Railway Hotel.
Make a day of it: While you are in the area, you could check out the short walk to Stanley Park Waterfall, visit the Macedon Reservoir or head up the Mount. See our full list of ideas in our Day Out in Macedon and Mount Macedon blog.
