Top 10 Parks in the Macedon Ranges and Surrounds

There are some beautiful and varied parks in the Macedon Ranges and surrounds. These are our favourites so far. Click on each for more information on the type of equipment, whether there are toilets, shade, a barbecue area or cafes nearby and other places of interest in the vicinity. Happy playing!

Romsey Ecotherapy Park, Romsey: This peaceful park is made of natural materials and set beneath shady trees. Highlights are the flying fox, wide slide and the big swing.

Taradale Mineral Springs Nature Playground, Taradale: Located alongside the creek and the mineral springs, this playground delivers on equipment with something for every age and taste. Highlights include a flying fox, various climbing frames or walls and a big swing.

Gisborne Adventure Playground, Gisborne: This park is nestled between the Gisborne Botanic Gardens and the township. There is a closed off playground for littlies, an enormous climbing frame and plenty of swings.

Riddells Creek Lions Park, Riddells Creek: This park has recently had some new equipment added. The highlights are the two flying foxes, the roundabout and the gorgeous, old tree by the carpark.

Stanley Park Playground, Mount Macedon: Set within a serene environment of towering gums looking up to Mount Macedon, this park has a variety of equipment and the best part is that it is a short walk to the Stanley Park Waterfall.

Woodend Children’s Park, Woodend: The opportunities at this park are endless! There is a gated area, an epic flying fox, musical instruments and every type of play equipment you could imagine.

Kyneton Community Park, Kyneton: Another park without plastic in sight. It is right next to the Kyneton Botanic Gardens and has that same peaceful atmosphere. There is a water play area for the summer months, bright tractors to sit in and a super cool ropes course.

Lions Reserve, Romsey: This park is located next to the local skate park and has a variety of equipment including an enormous climbing frame.

Lake Daylesford Playground: This gated playground is not huge but has a variety of equipment and is in full view of the beautiful Lake Daylesford.

Galaxy Land, Sunbury: Past the town centre and up Jacksons Hill is this amazing playground that has recently been updated. It is well worth a look.
