Where: Hanging Rock Cafe is within the Hanging Rock grounds near Woodend and you will need to pay a $10 entry fee. Alternatively, you can buy a yearly pass for $70 or buy a meal at the cafe to receive a free parking token.

Rating on the kid friendly scale: Hanging Rock Cafe ticks all the boxes for a kid friendly cafe. They have a kids menu, activities for kids, room for prams, as well as high chairs and nappy changing facilities. There are not only indoor activities such as books and toys, but the owners also offer footballs and cricket sets.

The best bit: If your kids are old enough, you can let them go and play on the grass area outside where you can see them while you finish your meal or coffee. How amazing is that?

You must try: The zucchini and corn fritters are delicious! The coffee was also amazing.
