Kyneton Community Park

What: Kyneton Community Park is the park of children’s dreams! It is a collection of playground equipment of different colours, textures and heights that is sure to entertain them for hours. From a small wooden fenced ‘maze’ at its entrance, ropes equipment and bright pink tyre tunnels to metal slides, wooden tree stump ‘stepping stones’, brightly painted repurposed tractors and a table tennis table, there is something for every child, no matter their age, even the extra big ones (read: adults).

Where: Kyneton Community Park lies on Clowes street behind the Kyneton Botanical Gardens. It is only a short walk or drive from the town centre.

The best bit: It’s so hard to choose but the table tennis table, complete with bats and balls, is pretty amazing.

Picnic or cafe? There are plenty of tables, grassed areas and tree stumps to sit and enjoy a picnic in Kyneton Community Park. If you didn’t manage to pack a snack, there are many beautiful cafes in the town centre to choose from.

Toilets: There is a toilet block within the park.

Make a day of it: Start with a stroll through the Botanic Gardens on your way to the Park or time your visit for the second Saturday of the month when the Kyneton Farmers’ Market is on or you visit Black Hill Reserve for a hike before or after you play.
