Lancefield and District Farmers’ Market

Fourth Saturday of the month, 9 am – 1 pm

About the same size as the Kyneton Farmers Market, this market is happily situated in the centre plantation on High Street.  The market stalls follows the tree line around this flat rectangular grassed area and is flanked on one side with carparks, (feel very lucky if you manage to grab one of these). The stalls sell mostly food produce: fresh fruit and veg, honey, jams, free range beef and pork, hot food and ice cream.  There are some stalls with environmentally friendly cleaning products and homemade soaps.

The market is very easy to navigate with only one step up or down if you’re shopping with a pram and children in tow.  There is a lovely atmosphere with the buzz of activity beneath the beautiful towering trees. There are tables and chairs at either end of the market where you can sit and have your coffee or delicious spring roll after you have finished your shopping. If you don’t score a carpark on the edge of the plantation, there are usually plenty in the nearest side street which are an easy walking distance.
