What: Turpin Falls is a stunning natural wonder hidden amongst the green paddocks of Langley. There is a steep descent from the carpark down to the falls. It can be especially slippery when wet, so take care if you have younger children. Half way down there is a lookout overlooking the falls which is a great spot for a photo. When you reach the bottom, you have a wonderful view of the falls up close and can also enjoy the neighbouring cascades. The kids will love exploring the rocks and trees. Just be aware that there is blue-green algae in the water so do not let anyone touch it. Regardless, it is still a peaceful place to take in the sweet sound of the rushing water, enjoy the fresh air and relax.

Where: Turpin Falls is located in Langley, about fifteen minutes out of Kyneton.
The best bit: The view directly in front of the falls.
Picnic or cafe: It’s a fair drive to the closest cafe so definitely pack a picnic or plan a pit stop.
Toilets: There are no toilets nearby so definitely go before you visit or take a loo break in Kyneton before or afterwards.
Make a day of it: Check out the Kyneton Botanic Gardens and Community Park before or after the falls and lunch in one of the beautiful cafes in town.
