Riddells Creek Lions Park is a perfectly placed park with a variety of equipment for kids of every age. There is a flying fox, half basketball court, spinning carousel as well as the traditional park apparatus. If you are gathering with friends there is a barbecue and tables under a central rotunda. The park is also peppered with a variety of large shady trees.

Where: Riddells Creek Lions Park is just off the main intersection of the township. It is across the road from the supermarket and local cafes.

The best bit: The flying fox is definitely the winner. Two children can go at once – everyone is sure to get a turn.

Picnic or cafe: There are plenty of tables available for a picnic. Local cafes are only a short walk away for little feet.

Toilets: There is a toilet block within the park which is easily accessible.

Make a day of it: Visit on the day of the Riddells Creek Farmers’ Market (third Saturday). Pop across to a local cafe. Take a short drive up the road to Dromkeen for a perusal of the gallery, bookshop and gardens.
