First Sunday of the month, 9 am – 2 pm

As you drive down the hill into Gisborne from the Calder Highway you cannot miss the Gisborne Olde Time Market on the Village Green to your right. On market day Gisborne is agog with activity; (it is no wonder some of the locals want to hide inside their houses and avoid the town centre like the plague).

But, if you have a spare hour (and even better if you can get there early for a carpark), the Olde Time Market is a really lovely place to take the kids for a wander, grab some hot food, nip into a local cafe for an amazing coffee, and peruse the stalls of fresh produce, food products, and beautiful crafts and wares.  The market is easy enough to navigate, pram or no, but it can be very crowded at times so I strongly suggest to visit as early as possible.

If you have time you may want to venture over to the Gisborne Village Shopping Centre where the Gisborne Oaks Market is situated.

Anything else that is lacking you are most likely able to be got on the other side of the main street at the Gisborne Olde Time Market. […]
