What: This delightful cafe is the place to catch up if you have children and live in Woodend. The eatery has a cosy feel, vibrant artwork on the walls and a range of delicious sandwiches, pastries and sweets to choose from.
Where: The Milko is situated at 118 – 126 High Street, Woodend.

Rating on the kid friendly scale: This cafe delivers on all the necessities: kid friendly food, highchairs, nappy change table and side door for prams to enter through. There is a cute kids’ play corner with soft toys, books and colouring in materials.
The best bit: The walls of the cafe are covered in beautiful drawings and paintings by local artists.

You must try: The coffee and banana bread are my faves.
Make a day of it: Head to the outstanding Woodend Children’s Park for a play and be sure to check out the Woodend Community’s Farmers’ Market if your visit coincides with the first Saturday of the month.
